Our Wedding

My boyfriend (now husband) proposed to me back in December and I've spent the past 6 months trying to manically plan our bare-budget DIY wedding.  All of my hard work finally paid off last Saturday!  Here is a little sneak preview of some of the pics from our wedding.  I'm sure I'll post many more later, once I get them all!

Cheap and Easy Spring Update

Here is a quick project I did a few months ago to transition some of my winter decor into spring.  Even though its almost summer now I thought I'd go ahead and post the before and after pics.  Here was my living room/kitchen dividing mantle in the winter:

I liked the simplicity of the twigs in the vase but needed a way to make them look more spring-like.  Because I never throw anything away I still had some cheap, fake flowers from the days when the only way I knew how to decorate was to try to make artificial flower arrangements.

I decided to hot glue some of the little flowers onto the branches to make it look like little flower buds on them.

I'm pretty happy with the results, especially considering I spent absolutely nothing on it!
